A Call To Arms!!
Friday; Set up camps, Mixer at the Tejas Bar & Grill, Conversation around camp fires Friday night in Badu Park. Saturday morning there will be a parade from Badu Park to the Badu House, one block West of Hwy.16. All day Saturday there will be living history displays, battle enactments, skirmishes and artillery fire with cavalry and infantry, Sutler's Village, period music performed by Celtair(check out there web site at http://www.celtaire.com or click the link below), vendors and more. Saturday evening is the FORMAL Cotillion at the Badu House Event Hall from 7pm thru 11pm. All guests will arrive at the door by carriage. Guests are required to wear period clothing, and will have an honor guard escorted to the Officer's receiving line, the ladies will also receive dance cards. The fare is what would have been served during civil war times. Dance to music straight from the past performed by Celtaire. Couples are $40. Singles $25. Tickets are now available at the Llano Chamber of Commerce. Call (325)247-5354 for tickets. Sunday morning will be a Confederate chaplain led devotional, In the afternoon be sure to see "Gone with the Wind" or some other Civil war film that will be shown at the LanTex Theater along with more living history and fun things to do, and then break camp.
